The pulp is shaped and dyed by hand to create the rich texture at the heart of each flower. While a deep brown center is the most popular option for a natural look, the color can also be customized to complement your wedding palette and personality, adding one more unique detail to your floral design.
Text Direction
Another subtle way I can change the look of a book page sunflower is by adjusting the direction of the printed text on each petal. When the text runs vertically along the petal, the flower tends to feel a bit more structured and graphic. When the text runs horizontally across the petals, the effect becomes softer and more organic. I decide which direction to use based on several factors, including consideration of other florals in the arrangement and which way the text will look best on those petals or foliage. It’s a small design choice, but one that can noticeably influence the overall character of the arrangement.
