A Magical Midwest Wedding: Harry Potter Inspired Floral Designs

Updated: Sep 16

For one couple in the Kansas City area, we had the pleasure of creating a Harry Potter-themed floral collection that seamlessly blended magic, elegance, and personal flair. The flowers at this midwest wedding paid homage to the wizarding world, featuring pages from all seven books in the Harry Potter series.

Spellbinding Florals for the Bride and Groom

The bride and groom’s florals were a magical blend of soft purples, sunny yellows, and elegant grays: colors that perfectly captured the enchanting spirit of their Harry Potter-inspired wedding. Their bouquet and boutonniere were respectively crafted from pages of The Sorcerer's Stone and The Half-Blood Prince, bringing a whimsical and personalized touch to their special day. These spellbinding blooms truly reflected the couple’s unique story and love for all things magical.

Magical Wedding Party Florals

The wedding party’s flowers carried the same enchanting magic as the bride and groom’s. Bridesmaids held elegant bouquets made from delicate book pages, their blooms echoing the whimsy of the day. Junior bridesmaids carried smaller, sweetly crafted versions, perfect for their youthful charm. Meanwhile, the groomsmen and ushers wore complimentary boutonnieres, completing the look with delicate sophistication.

Elegant Florals for Parents

The parents’ flowers honored timeless tradition with a literary twist. Their flowers were crafted entirely from Pride and Prejudice pages. Fathers wore classic boutonnieres made from delicate paper flowers, while mothers’ wrists were adorned with charming wrist corsages, each bloom echoing the romance and grace of Austen’s beloved novel. These thoughtful pieces added a meaningful touch to the day, celebrating family with elegance and a nod to literary history.

Decor with a Plot Twist

The head table featured a unique centerpiece crafted from the pages of The Princess Bride and The Hunger Games, blending romance, adventure, and rebellion that reflected the couple’s love for epic stories with heart.

The magic continued with custom book page flowers for the wedding cake, handcrafted from Harry Potter pages. These paper blooms of poppies, anemones and eucalyptus adorned each of the tiers, tying together the couple’s favorite stories in one sweet, spellbinding display.
