Choosing a wedding florist is about more than just beautiful flowers, it’s about finding someone who understands your style, priorities, and vision for the day. Asking thoughtful questions helps you feel confident in your decision and ensures your flowers will truly reflect you.

At Anthology on Main, I create wedding flowers by hand from the pages of your favorite books, turning meaningful stories into keepsake bouquets and décor. To help you get started, I’ve gathered some of the most important questions couples ask, along with my own answers so you can see if I’m the right fit for your wedding.

And even if you’re not considering book page flowers, these questions still apply when choosing a fresh flower florist, so you’ll walk away prepared no matter which direction you go.

Question: Are You Available for My Wedding Date?

My Answer: This may be an obvious question, but if the answer is "no", then there's usually no reason to continue the conversation.

Unless you're talking with an alternative florist!

Since paper flowers don’t die, they can be created months ahead of your wedding date. At Anthology On Main, I may be fully booked for your wedding month, yet still have availability to create your flowers earlier. With enough notice (ideally 6–12 months in advance), I can schedule your flowers for production well ahead of time and either ship them early or hold them until closer to your day.

Question: What is Your Lead Time?

My Answer: Lead time can vary depending on several factors: the size of your order, the number of weddings already booked, and the busyness of my shop.

As a general guideline, if you’d like a full wedding package (wedding party, centerpieces, décor, etc.), we should begin the process 8–12 months prior to your wedding date. It’s truly never too early to start your consultation.

Question: What Can I Expect the Process to Look Like When Working with You?

My Answer: Once you’ve decided on Anthology On Main as your wedding florist, I’ll create a personalized floral plan just for you. This initial plan is flexible and can be adjusted as needed.

When your plan is finalized, payment for the full order is required. I’ll then begin handcrafting your unique book page flowers and provide photo updates along the way. Your finished flowers will be delivered about one month before your wedding.

Question: How Much Do You Charge?

My Answer: Every couple’s flower needs are different. At Anthology On Main, pricing is based on the time and detail required to create your flowers. For example, intricate flowers like lilies, peonies, and bluebonnets are priced higher than simpler blooms such as roses or poppies.

Your budget ultimately guides the package we design together.

Question: What Services Do You Provide?

My Answer: Because my flowers are unique, my services are a little different from a traditional florist. I provide floral designs nationwide and ship your flowers directly to you. Couples are responsible for setting up and breaking down their florals at their venues.

Question: How Do Deposits and Payments Work?

My Answer:

  • Custom Wedding Packages – A deposit is required to reserve your date, and full payment is due at least 6 months before your wedding. Since these are tailored to you, I also offer flexible payment plans to make budgeting easier.

  • Wedding Party Packages – These are streamlined bundles that you purchase in full at checkout. No deposit or consultation is needed, just complete a quick form after purchase so I can personalize your flowers.

  • À La Carte Items – Like wedding party packages, à la carte orders are paid in full at checkout.
